Well, not quite. I mean like a full-on AR lower that comes with a 22 LR upper. If the owner so wishes, he can later switch to a 223/5.56 upper.

I'm not looking for myself, just trying to confirm or deny another whacked gun claim that the people I know are known for.

No,..I think it's a Regular lower with two uppers, one .223/5.56 already mounted, and an 18" 22upper with one 22 AR type magazine...

Since a 715Tb is just a plastic shell looking like an AR with a 702 inside, it is not possible.

I will say these words

"Cheaper Than Dirt" to name one has kits for AR to be converted to shoot .22LR (Upper, Bolt, Magazine adapter and Magazine). The same is for 9mm as well, just change the buffer spring out.

Right, and if that's the case the 702 is the better Rifle, which I have,..

I have never heard or seen, a few issues with the recoil spring in the butt stock, the magazine well fit for AR-15 magazine. Now Smith & Wesson has the M&P 15-22. the magazine well will only accept MP 15-22 magazines and not AR-15 magazines.

Kinda like an upgrade?
Modifications to recoil spring, might need a trigger upgrade and metal work on the magazine well, if you use an MP 15-22 as an example.

My best choice, would be if you already have an AR, is purchase a conversion package to .22LR.

If you have just a .22LR, purchase either a bolt .223, AR-15, Mossberg MVP Series rifles. I have the varmint 24" version and love it.
I have never found a conversion package that I can't out shoot. Accuracy sucks. That .222 bullet doesn't fill the .224 bore. There are dedicated .22 LR uppers out there and they are reasonably accurate.

Not only is the .224" centerfire bore over sized, but the twist rate is too fast as well. The shorter, lighter rimfire pills need the 1:16 twist to stabilize properly. Depending on the quality the dedicated rimfire barrels can be exceptionally accurate.

uh, how is a 223 mag supposed to fit in that little, narrow receiver, hmm? Mossberg did that on purpose, count on it, so they don't get sued when some moron attempted this.
