thoughts on the sig sauer 1911-22
 

I wanted a 22lr for target range gun to shoot with the grandaughter and since Glock dont make one . looking at the sig 1911-22 . feels good in my hand and sig has good rep any body shoot one . let me know what you think

I haven't shot the SIG, but I have shot the GSG 1911 which is basically the same pistol, just rebranded. The gun I shot was OK, using CCI Mini Mags. I personally would not buy one because of the zinc alloy construction. I opted for the Browning 1911 .22 A1. A bit more pricey, but it is made of all T6 aircraft grade aluminum and about 85% the size of the full size 1911. BTW - the SIG 1911 .22 is not made by SIG, they license their name on the gun.

You can't go wrong with the GSG 1911.22. The Sig will cost you more for the same gun. Buy the GSG. It it a real shooter and 85% of the parts are interchangeable with a 1911. 5,000 rds through mine and I love it.
