Default Thinking of a new rifle for training

Been having a look at a few of the .22 semi auto rifles for training purposes, and have narrowed the field to a Spikes tactical ST .22 AR type platform that I'm going to build from the ground up. But before I commit I would like to have some input from others ref the quality of the equipment as living in the UK means that I will have to import all the parts from the US, and this can push the price's up.

If you already have an ar15(nonpiston) then the cheapest reliable way to go is the cmmg evolution conversion kit. It works damn well.

No this is going to be a ground up build, and I will have to base this on the .22 platform as the restrictions here can be pretty severe for the civilian shooter. To have a semi auto requires that it is no more than a .22 anything larger has to be straight pull.
