Tactical Solutions
So, I was out in the garage today unpacking boxes (moved early this year) and trying to find a few things, and came across a scope mount in a bag. I've had it for a few years but never looked at it closely. Today I looked it over deciding if it was a "keeper" or a "tosser", when I noticed it was made by Tactical Solutions. Hmm...
So I dug around until I found my last remaining 10/22 and lo and behold the mount fit. Nice! I've almost ordered a TacSol mount about a dozen times, but for a gun that gets fired about once every 5 years I just never have. I'm just not that fond of the 10/22 to order a $65 mount for it.
Then I dug around my "leftover optics" bin and found a cheapie BSA red dot that came on some other rifle I traded for. Tossed it on the 10/22 and am actually looking forward to taking it to the range. It points great, and the dot is nice and crisp.
A lucky turn of events may have turned 3 unused items into one that will see some use.

Integral mount on the cheapie BSA. So HA!

I wish. I get about one day off a month and tomorrow is not it. Ha.
Hoping to take my office for another range day next Sat. If so, the 10/22 will come along. I'm redoing an old walnut stock right now because the synthetic factory stock blows. Cut off and slimmed down the forend, reshaping the grip, then it will get BLO'd.

I have all but two of mine done now. Now I need to go sight them in again.

This is what I just did to my 10/22
Did i need to? No, but I can't afford a AR-15 right now, so this was the next best thing!

Whatever makes you happy is what you should do. Looks like you could stand to raise the stock drop a bit. How does it point for you?

The Stock drop comes with two different angles. I chose to put the lower of the two first.
The other is straight. It points great, but i haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet.
