I have the Colt M4 .22, GSG-5, and the SIG SG522. All these guns are fun to shoot and aesthetically appealing. Mine are dead on accurate and it is fun to see the bullseye of a target disappear into a ragged hole at 50 yards. I have a RGB reddot sight on my SIG and a Leaprers RGB scope on the GSG-5. The M4 uses the iron sights. As far as quality goes, these black rifle .22s are all pretty much the same as far as quality goes, with the edge on mine going to the SIG. I opted not to get the S&W because of its all plastic construction.

Light weight

S&W M&P15-22 rifle is built with high strength polymer upper and lower, lighter than the Colt. It does have the iron sites that are detachable.

Availability

Another reason is availability in my area, none of the other .22 Tacticals were available.

Cost

Accuracy on target at 100 yards. I have dropped over 5000 rounds since Dec 2009.

The iron sites work; but, with age comes eyesight and scope comes into play!
