I could do it with something like a Rossi wizard or a cheap Rossi single shot rifle in 223 or 243 if I wanted more power than a 22 and could still hold supplies in a stock. Only problem with leather slip with paracord wrapped around is leather isn't water proof. Paracord sling pluss some wrapped around stock to hold another knife or shells and what have you

You can make a double layered sling, that would give you approx. 40-45 ft of cord that can be unwrapped without compromising the sling.
