The other day I shot a group the size of a dime at 25yds with my old, beat up 10/22. good luck getting that with any other .22 I've owned... (Marlin, Stevens, etc.)
10/22 is the only way to go if you want a .22 that is accurate, light weight, and durable. The huge after market following, and hi-cap mags are nice too.
what model can i get that is over the basic model with a the target trigger and better barrel? I was looking at the lvt model but it might be hard to come by, any other suggestions?
Marlin 60! My marlin 60 has literally shot hundreds of thousands of rounds over the past 35 years. It will give my 10/22 all it wants. Moreover the Marlin 60 is shooting with the stock iron sights. People complain about the 10/22 stock trigger. My stock 10/22 trigger does just fine. Maybe they should invest in a bottle of dawn and some hot water.

Neddless to I prefer the Marlin 60.But I would suggest pick as many different models of semi-auto's that you can, shoulder them and U will know which one to get. The Savage, Ruger, Marlin are all nice.Have fun! BTW Bass Pro shops have a good variety. Cliff
