The 10-22 is very accurate out of the box but the trigger sucks. Before you make a lot of expensive mods, fix the trigger. There are people on the site that can do the work reasonably or you can get a drop in trigger group from $110 to $250. Go for the cheaper options unless you intend to make it a full blown target rifle. The only other mod to start with is a Delrin (nylon) bolt stop pin to replace the steel one and they are cheap. The 10-22 with an ammo it likes is under 1/2" at 25 yards and I have seen 10 shot groups you could cover with a quarter and not see any holes at 50 yards.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron."
