Where is the serial number on these rifles? Lee, Sykesville, Md.

No idea on your Stevens, but it may not have one. Serial numbers on
22 rimfire rifles were not required until (I think) the GCA of 1968.

Bill is right. Have a dozen older 22s- Mossys, Marlins, and Remingtons that went in my record book under Serial Number as "none found" . 1968 GCA changed that.
