i picked this up from my grandfather and its missing the end for the tube mag. i dont know what year it is either. it says " visible loading repeater from chicopee falls MASS."and behind the trigger is stamped y 811, any one know the possible year and model and another site to pick up the missing part. i know i posted here once before but dont have the links any more and i uploaded some pics this time as well

Looks alot like a Winchester Model 90. Wonder if the magazine tube is the same diameter? Doesn't Taurus make a clone? Wonder if that would fit? Probably would have to be cut down in length though!

It is a J. Stevens No.70 Visible Loading, slide action rifle. You might give Jack First Inc. in Rapid City, So. Dakota a try. There are others, but they are usually my first go to for obsolete parts.......
any way to narrow down the date of the rifle. i have looked and seen that alot of these same guns have serial numbers that are 4-5 numbers long and mine is y811. does that mean that it is a earlier model?I am just really curious about the date now
