I am sure this has been discussed but I can't find any info on changing out my plastic trigger guard. Does anyone know if Savage now makes one, if somebody else is making one or if a trigger guard from another .22 cal rifle will fit. The rifle is a great shooter but plastic trigger guard cheapens the overall look of the gun. Thanks for any help!

You'll still need the trigger guard unless you find a used stock with all the hardware or get some sort of package that includes it with the stock.
If you are looking for the stainless one, the Savage part# for the is 703377, listed as for the BTVSS.
I don't have the part #s for the blued one, but I think I can find it if you need it. Probably the best bet is to call Savage parts dept. (413-568-8386) & let them know what you are looking for. They are pretty darn helpful & can look up any parts you want if you don't already have the #s.
BTW, don't forget the screws. You may need longer action screws, which apparently are available in blued but don't seem to exist in stainless. The "Boyd's takedown screws" are the same length as the original ones from my FV...
