I just picked up my new S&W M&P 15-22 Rifle last night and of course didn't get much sleep after familiarizing myself with the new zombie plucker and cleaning it per instructions. Stopped at Walmart on my way to work, Picked up a box of Winchester 22 long rifle Plated hollow point SS/hp 37 grains, And a box of CCI Mini-Mag 22 Lr Hp 36 grain. So slow like a three toed sloth the day went I tried to stay busy even taking time to make a new target board not to fancy just 4 feet tall 2 feet wide with hinged legs on the back. oh with little box's on the legs for weight. And i almost forgot A stationary target and a revolving target also, So any how the day went and the range came I fired one shot from 25 yards 3" to the right 3 clicks to the adjust the windage and shot # 2 just above the bull. OK it's time to start aiming Shot #3 bull #4 bull #5 some one pulled left #'s 6-25 rapid fire 4" group from a standing position This is one sweet firearm I ran 200 rounds with not a problem and to think I almost bought the Mossberg tactical 22 but after reading over, man my eyes don't work any more reviews and I'm glad i did I flipped the extra for the S&W and i am 100% happy I did!!!! If your not in need of, But are in want for one do what ever Hay psssst sneak it in She wont know. Remember it's not the I need it's, The I want that really counts I also picked up a boar snake for quick cleans after hearing you guys talking about how dirty 22 ammo is Hay does any have a wobbly rear sight the very top part ?

ive got 20 mags with my 15-22 thats 500 rounds in one go and it gets HOT!! ive not noticed any change of impact from heating it up on a 90 degree day midsummer. the groups open up due to barrel heat like any gun does but no real poi shift

i do get some poi shift if i put a lot of pressure on the barrel using a tight sling setup. but the gun is so light its a non issue. i dont think poi shift is heat related. its a non factor in my opinion.

Just buy a Grip Pod (GPS02). Military forward grip with one button bi-pod.

I've had my 15-22 MOE for a while and have had a blast tricking it out with lights and lasers and red-dots ("Oh, my!"), and really love how the thing handles and shoots. I like to load tracer up every 5th round like we did back in '69 and then watch the pretty lights. It's a really neat toy, just like all my other guns; I have vowed to use them defensively to the proverbial "prevail or die", but I don't earn a living with them or really (really!) need all of them to live my creaky, quiet, retired life. There for they are tools of enjoyment, not vocation; hence - toys! The 15-22 is a hoot to shoot and if all else fails would be a reasonable self-defense weapon (lotsa little bullets= one big bullet) and is far superior to the Mossberg as a representation of the AR-15 family of firearms. It isn't made of unobtainium or chiseled out by aged smiths working in log cabins fitted with CNC machines, but it is a damn good rifle that will spell doom to your local squirrels or groundhogs (or small, lightly armored zombies if that's your thing).
