For it's own design, it is wonderful. For the feel of a 94 is fails.
The lever stroke is quite short, 22lr length, instead of the longer 30-30 length.
It is slimmer and lighter than the 94 in 30-30.
Where it fails as a 94 it now excels as the 9422. It is wonderfully made, light, accurate, and handy as heck in the field.
It holds a bunch of rounds and keeps shooting. I am not as fond of a tubular magazine, as compared to a detachable box magazine, but the tubular magazine has the capacity and is slim to the stock and barrel.
I hope that everyone has a chance to shoot one in their lifetime.
