I stuck a Nikon pro staff rim fire scope on my wife's 10/22, we both love it. It was only $100, more than a lot suggested on here but I like the assurance of a lifetime warranty. I mounted it with a weaver base mount and weaver rings. They are nothing fancy, but it doesn't kick and between our little girl and one on the way we don't get to shoot much anyway.
