There's a lot more to a scope than just clear optics. Lots of tiny internal parts that can be effected by recoil. You get what you pay for.

Inexpensive doesn't mean it's cheap!!!! Many scope snobs out there that think the only way to go if you spend twice as much as the rifle costs. However it isn't true, even though you can only shoot as well as you can see!
