Scope for 10/22

Im looking for the best avilable scope for under 250. I just ordered a boyds tacticool stock. And Im having some trigger work done. Im looking at shooting this out to 200 yards or so, but I still want to be able to shoot this at 50 yards. So whats the best Scope in my price range. Thanks

well, its not a "tactical" looking scope, but i think the redfield revolution line of scopes are an outstanding value. specifically i pefer the 2-7, for its size on smaller rifles. these scopes are very clear, sturdy, made in USA (by leupold) with a lifetime warranty. should be well under $200.

i am, however, too cheap to put this scope on my 10/22. :p i have a $40 simmons on my 10/22, does the job well enough to 100 yards.

I would probably look at a Leupold VX-1 2-7x33 rimfire scope. IMO it's probably the best bet in your price range.

I have one of these on my Savage MkII: http://muelleroptics.com/mu83244td

At 200 yards with a .22lr, you may need to crank your rings. 200y with subsonic gives you more than a 40" drop

Ya I was thinking that at 200 I would probably have to use a little kentucky windage. With a mil dot that should not be to much of a problem though. I will not be trying to make little groups at 200 but just consistently ding my 10" steel. I have looked a mueller and im leaning that way but wanted to look at some other options as well.

nikon, burris, vortex are all great scopes for under your price range. for longer shooting you will probly want to look for at least a 4x12 scope. but the a 3x9 will work if you practice enough.

Well I ended up ordering a mueller 8x32x44. This is actually getting a complete rebuild. Its gonna be almost all kidd with a hornet customs trigger. I will post pics when i get it together.
