Hi All,
Just bought a new Savage 22lr at Walley World.. It appears to be a very nice 22. I noticed that the barrel doesnot sit completely flat in the synthetic stock. Is it suppose top or is that what is called "floating barrel"?

Also how can I tell if I have the new accu-trigger?

Not sure what you are talking about. Pictures would help a lot.

accu triggers have a moving piece in the middle of the trigger.

take it apart an look it will tell you a lot,
but free flot means barrel will not touch the stock

If you bought it new then it should be identified as an accu-trigger model(stickers and/tags) and the manual that came with it should also tell you what you have.
It can be tough to shop guns at wally world as the person behind the counter may have no knowledge of guns at all so it's pssible they didn't even know what they were selling you.
