I just bought a S&W MP 15-22 and ordered the muzzle brake from CTD. Do you have to remove the end of the stock barrel to install the muzzle brake?

I was looking through all the attachments I could get for my Colt M4 Tactiacl 22--rails, lasers, red dots, bipods--even a dummy supressor...and I thought to myself, with all the money I could lay out to make the 22 look like a 223 or 308...I could just put toward a 223 or 308. :D

The only problem with a 22 is that no matter what you make it look like its still a 22.

I have a 223 ... but it sure is cheaper to shoot the 22LR ...

If you want to add a really useful attachment to your tactical 22 or any tactical rifle, try a VTAC sling. It allows a range of carry options and a quick transition into firing mode.

Thanks for the link. I will check that out. I am also looking for recommendations on a scope. I don't know much about them. The range I frequent is 100 yards, so I'd like something that I could use at that distance.

realgeorge ... I am sorry ... I did not mean to hijack your thread. I did buy the muzzle brake you recommended though. ;)

To me, that is the advantage! I can take my son to the range and shoot all afternoon for 20 bucks with a MP 15-22. My AR 15 costs considerably more to feed.
