Default S&w m&p15-22

Does anyone know for sure if the "buffer tube" on a m&p15-22 is mil spec. I've tried to to find out on google and other forums, but I can't get a definite answer

Yes it is. The problem right now is finding something to put on it.

Yea, I've found a few mil spec stocks, but they're so freakin expensive. I ordered a magpul stock that is made for airsoft, I figure it would be fine since its just a .22, some say it fits, others say it won't. I guess I'll find out when it gets here

Might as well try it, magpul also makes a fairly cheap mil spec one if you can find it.
