I finally took the new toy to the range. Ran off 100 rounds using Blazer .22 LR no misfires at all, opened a new box of Remington .22 LR Brass-Plated Hollow Points - almost 1 out of every 6 was a misfire. I was getting pissed to say the least, even when a reloaded with only 10 rounds and misfired the same round again - tossed out (No good). I fired another 50 rounds with Blazer - no issues.

I cut the morning short due to weather and wind, targets were not staying on the boards stapled or taped! I am very pleased. Do need to do a slight site alignment - 2 clicks to the left will work. The groupings was on the money. I found a very sweet play toy.

I am going back to the range for more fun and 12 ga. 870 workout tomorrow!

Sounds like a very fun toy. Remington rimfire (.22LR) are notorious for misfires so don't worry about it being your rifle's fault. CCI mini mags are the most consistent high velocity ammo I've seen so you might try them.

I've read negative effects but oddly I've never had much issue with my 10/22 and Remington .22LR ... Shot thousands of rounds of it.

Even Remingtons "Yellow Jackets" have tons of duds and those are like $35.00 to $40.00 a brick. I highly doubt its your rifles fault. I think Rem. uses crummy primer compound in the rimfire ammo.

No fault from the toy, more towards the ammo. Did run some more Blazer through it - another 100 rounds with no issues. Good gun and good groupings. Tried of wasting heavy ammo for the same fun!

I bought a box of the Remmy 550 value pack and about 1 of every 5 or 6 failed to fire. Never went back to Remmy .22lr. Now CCI almost always.

Heard the S&W's were blowin extractors lik crazy... at least all the ones up here in AK are.

The only true issue is the loading of small .22 LR rounds and the weather is blowing bitter cold - the gloves did not help either. I do need to acquire another 25 round mag; however, S&W is the only one carrying it since this gun is very new to the market.
