That's all about timing. Like if you don't walk in within say, 20 minutes of it hitting the shelf, you won't get it at walmart.

Everything is disappearing before it even hits the shelfs here. You have to be there at least an hour early waiting

i also have an M&P 15-22 and was having trouble with FTF and while the remmingtons were the worst i hit on the solution ... before i start shooting, i open up the gun and spray the bolt with someting like Hoppy's spray gun cleaner/oil ... after that i am good for 200-300 before i need to repeat the spraying down the bolt .... just seems to run too tight and that little bit of slow down in the bolt makes FTF .... before you laugh try this .... works for me ... instead of hundreds of remmingtons FTF there are very few in a box of 500

That's good to know, I've heard they like to run wet. I can't even shoot mine unless I'm willing to pay $10 for a box of 50 .22LRs.

Aquila 40gr Super Extra Standard & HV and 38gr HP works well for me. In the manual they list the works what doesn't. I had a bunch of problems w/ American Eagle 40gr. Also clean and smooth mags, bolt and chamber also really help me. Problem free now.

I only buy 40 grain in whatever brand I use, but as I said we rarely have any issue from anything. And I don't even come close to running it wet. Perhaps a little reliability work with a dremel would help.

I tried lots of different ammo with the same results. I found a solution online involving some needle nose pliers but decided to send it back to S&W instead. I'll let ya know how it turns out

I tried some cheap Winchester Wildcat 22LR last week in my 15/22 and it wasnt the best..two FTF, and a couple didnt want to feed...switched to some CCI and it went without a hitch. Let my red dot on by accident and couldnt sight it in because battery was dead..next time. Still shot 6 inch circle with factory sights at 25 yards, and hadnt picked up a .22 in 20 years...older eyes!

I also found the online solution involving some needle nose pliers - Did the procedure and the 15-22 has been problem free ever since.
