Default Ruger All American

Ok,I have been looking at the new Ruger All American and have decided in going to get one this weekend. So, here's my problem,I can't decide between the .22 long rifle and the .22 magnum. I've been been weighing the pros and cons of each and still can't decide so I thought I would ask here: what's everyone's opinion on which you would choose?

I saw the .22 shortage coming and sold all of mine and replaced them with magnums. A bit more expensive but still easy to get ahold of and more powerful. I'll take magnum over lr any day.

I looked at one last week at the LGS. Nice little rifle. I like the 22LR. You can use the standard 10 round rotary mag or any of the stick magazines that fit the 10/22 like the BX25.

They were selling for $270 + tax.....

I'd say it depends on the intended use of the rifle. the LR ammo although short in supply somewhat wouldn't be the reason for me to pick the magnum.

If you already have one caliber, get the other. If you already have both calibers, flip a coin, feral cat, or the nearest loudmouth liberal.

Looking at the magnum myself. I've already got several 10/22's in LR. Had a 10/22 mag years ago. Sold it because of action problems. Regret it to this day. I really liked the additional power and range of the magnum. Prarrie rat hunter here.

PS plus I've already got three 22 mag magazines for a build I was planning. Sounds like fate to me...

You can't beat a good .22 LR but I rather have a .22 magnum, the is a little more available and it's a good rabbit round
