Default Ruger 10/22 vs 10/22 takedown accuracy

As some of you may have seen I'm selling my Sig Sauer p239 , I'm doing so to fund a small game shtf rifle I decided on the ruger 10/22 and Im trying to decide between it and the takedown version.

Whichever I get will be composite/stainless. I was wondering if anyone had the takedown and had put more than a few rds down range and had any opinion on break in of the takedown barrel as far as if it loosens up at all after its had a few hundred or thousand through it. Have you noticed any bullet drop from any tolerances loosening up after breaking in , anything like that?

I haven't shot one but I did fondle it a lot in the shop. It's very well built. I don't think it will develope any issues.
If anyone knows otherwise I'd also be interested.

I have both the TD and a highly modified 10/22( Volqartson trigger group, Clerke bull barrel, Fajen stock) And I'm happy with both. The TD has about 1000 rounds through it and seems as tight as when really new. It usually takes ALOT of use to wear out a 10/22.

ive got a TD 10/22 also. HIGHLY recommend it. fantastic accuracy maintains POI after repeated diassembly reassembly cycles. it has a knurled nut ratchet type system that maintains the tightness of the lockup. ive got about 2500 rounds through mine. seems to run a little cleaner than a regular 10/22. what little cleaning it needs the take down feature makes it stupid easy. all that gunk that builds up in the corners of a standard 10/22 reciever doesnt seem to happen with the TD version for whatever reason.

if your on the fence jump on the TD version its a no brainer. super lightweight but balances and shoots great. im able to rapid fire at 50yards with it on 3inch steel plates and not miss a shot. just a rapid series of "DINGDINGDINGDINGDING". mine has been straight out of the box everything is ruger stock havent even had to adjust the sights. works great with the bx25 mags

JonM, not to derail a thread, but what ammo works best in your T/D 10/22

I think I asked this before; Hows does the TD fare when a sling is used? Anybody do this yet?

I dont see it would make any difference. I dont use one with mine but when its properly adjusted its solid as a rock.
