I love leather as it get's broken in. Not so much when new, or crusty old.

Nylon on a Neoprene Shoulder pad is ver comfortable and stays put.

I spend some time looking at many makes, scratched my head a bit and decided to give it a day or two. The 10/22 will get a new Nylon and Neoprene, in black.

Default Ruger 10/22 Takedown, Sling installation

I have a friend ( a recent returnee from The US Army and Iraq) who does Paracord quite well,..he reinforced the Steel handle of a 30 y.o. Boot knife with Paracord for me as well as making me a very THICK wrist bracelet. I'd ask him to make me a sling, but he's in school(CJ Major) to go into LE after graduating. We have not been shooting together for several months now...but we're still in touch...
I have seen them running for $40 and up...
