The short answer is just to have it and shoot it. Like plinking and stuff. Besides it's just a sweet little shooter. As far as modifying it goes I really want to keep it simple

I love my tactical .22LR. It's just fun to shoot and costs nearly nothing when I gotta get an itch to go to the range out.

Mossberg 702T. Got mine for $279. Can't complain about that price!

just have to chime in....
IMHO start with things that improve the weapon functionality first. polish the inards, work the trigger group, have it re-tapped for a scope since they tend to strip out easy, fix that auto bolt lever release and so on. search through the web for how to's since most can be done with the most basic of tools and experience. By the time that you get done with all of that you should know the weapon intimately (if you don't already) and should be able to decide what external mods to do if any.

Curlyjoe

OH!! and welcome to the boards

I'm curious, are most of the tactical anywhere near as accurate as the 10/22? Let's just say at 100yrds.

The mossberg tactical .22 is great. It's accurate, affordable and a blast. Here's mine. Adding a bipod and plinker scope.
