The 10-22 is a great little rifle. They are a lot more accurate then they are given credit for. Good for plinking, squirrel or bunnies. I tried the custom route and went back to a plain old stock carbine. Mine has a TRS 25 on the receiver and I attached a scope base under the fore end for a bipod. My wife has an M&P 15-22 and it is nice but around $400. Best thing about it is the ease of cleaning. It breaks down just like an AR. The rails are handy if you want to attach a bunch of stuff but I dont like loading them up. Hers is equipped with a low power variable scope and a laser.
