Ruger 10 22 sight suggestions

I just ordered a Ruger 10 22 to use at the local gun club for fun weekend competition. I'm looking for suggestions on a red dot that will be effective between 10 and 100 yards. Any suggestions?

TRUGLO Holographic Red Dot Sight Red - MidwayUSA

I put one on one of mine and have never shot it so well. :D

Thanks for the info. Do you have nay issues with the dot size covering small targets at longer ranges?

I have an ATN Ultra Sight on my 15-22. It works very well and you can easily adjust the size of the dot if you're concerned about covering the target.

Here's another TruGlo that I've had success with on a Mini-14... TRUGLO Red Dot Sight 42mm Tube 2x 5 MOA Red and Green Dot Reticle with Integral Weaver-Style Base Matte - MidwayUSA

For a 10/22, you might consider some red dot sights designed for pistols too...;)

If you're wanting to shoot out to 100 yards you'll be best served with a conventional scope. A red dot scope will have a dot too big at that distance and won't offer the precision you'll need.

Aimpoint Comp with a 2 minute dot, mounted directly to the barrel.

Red Dot Sight For 10-22

Take a look at the M4 Red Dot sight at the primaryarms.com website. I installed one on my S&W 15-22. It gives you a choice of four different reticles, seven brightness settings, and it uses one plain old AA battery instead of some exotic concoction.

On my rifle it shoots one inch groups at 50 yards from a rest. I haven't tried it at 100 yet. I'm sure it is more accurate than I am. I am seriously thinking about putting one on my DPMS AR15 and my 10-22. I don't think you can beat the accuracy or the price.

Almost any of the low mount red dots work on the 10-22. If you want a fast reticle and some magnification, look at the Konus shotgun scopes, They are parallax-ed at 75 yds and available at SWFA. The 2.5x32 runs $45 and the 1.5-4x32 is about $80. Fully coated, etched reticle in a diamond pattern. I have a couple of the 2.5x32s.
