Default My Ruger Classic 10/22

Here is my idea of the perfect classic 10/22

•S&K Ultra Walnut Extra Fancy stock, 1 inch recoil pad and laser engraved

•Trigger Work by Randy at CPC
o 2.0 - 2.4 lb trigger pull
o Trigger and hammer side shims
o Trigger over travel screw
o Forward anti-creep/slack screw
o Auto-bolt release conversion
o Single stage pull reworked to be as crisp as possible
o Oversize receiver pins installed to tighten trigger group
o Extended magazine release installed

Bolt Work by Randy at CPC
o Bolt is totally disassembled, cleaned, deburred
o Bolt face is surface ground and squared to .0425" LR rim headspace depth; same as bolt action rifle for accuracy and reduced flyers
o Bolt side is beautifully prism jeweled
o A hole is E.D.M.'ed and a stainless dowel pin pressed in over the front of the firing pin to hold it from raising up, reducing flyers and to get more consistent firing pin strikes.
o Bolt buffer installed.

• 20 inch black fade to gun metal gray compensated whistle Pig barrel.

• Superior Tactical Ruger logo charging handle, rod and spring.

• Leupold 3-9 X 33 EFR VXII Gloss Black Scope

• Leupold Low height rings.

The rifle is also featured on Sturm Rugers photo galleries website in the "tricked out 10/22" section.

I should also mention that the scope in the picture above is not a Leupold, it is a Center Point, and the barrel is a 18 inch Whistle. I am sorry for any confusion but the list and equipment was updated after I took this picture. Here is the rifle as it is today with the equipment as stated in the original post.

Default Cost?

If I may ask, how much has this set up cost you so far?

As of now I have a bit over $1500.00 invested. I know it seems like a lot but if you want a top of the line rimfire you have to be willing to spend whatever it costs to to bring your ideas to reality. I'm extremely satisfied with the way it came out.

Love the stock, when I first seen it I thought it was a curly maple, but I see now it is walnut, just beautiful, I have been trying to build up the courage to dump a butt load of money into a rim fire, for some reason I have always had a mental block when it comes to spending more than 2-3 hundred on a rim fire, I have been looking at pictures of 10/22 all dolled up on www.rimfirecentral.com most are bench type rifles, your gun has given me some insight to what I really want, a more usable rifle for the bench or the field, and it looks just strait sexy!!! I want to thank you for taking the time to post your rifle, you just made up my mind, I'm sure my wife will thank you to!!!

I got a Ruger 10/22 Carbine for Christmas. Looking into getting a longer barrel. Will I need to replace the stock if I upgrade barrels?
