Default Ruger 10/22 cont'd
SO.... I just took it out again and I can see the problem. My BX-1 mag is kinda lose and THATS what causes the jams. Is this normal? It kinda jiggles when it sits in its position. I have to hold it in in order for it not to jam and for the bolt to cloae when I'm loading it

That sounds weird. I'd compare it to the stock mag.

Have you tried other mags in your 10/22? Do they all do this or just that one?

I am new to this forum, I am wanting to get a ruger 10 22 but I am having a hard time finding one cheap.

Its the mag that came with the gun. Its driving me nuts. I can't have more than 10 rounds here in ny

Dick's sporting good had it for $219.

Cabellas had a sale this past xmas for $169.

Oh ok. I'd definitely consider taking it to a gun store & ask to try other mags. If the results are the same it's probably your retaining pin.
