I love my Ruger 10/22. It's not exactly the first Ruger I've owned but like the others I have, it's a great firearm. The ONLY failures to function I had with mine was with an aftermarket magazine, which I promptly returned and did what I should have done all along - bought a Ruger BX-25 mag. LIke Blackbeard above, I did the M1 Carbine replica thing and I completely agree with him, if you're gonna do it, do it all the way. I got the sling and oiler and the sights.

The scary part is how accurate those sights actually are. Last time we were at the range, some friends and I put paintballs on golf tees and I was able to easily do some painting and shoot each ball off the tees at 20 yards with open sights. There were people there that couldn't do that scoped. For those out there that don't know, paintballs are .68 caliber so those are tough little targets out past 50 feet, but it was a great challenge and my 10/22 was MORE than up to it.

Great rifle for ANYONE to own. So many options for upgrades and personalization mated to reliability and simplicity, from a proven name. You can't go wrong!

Will any of those stocks work with the BX-25 mags?

From what I understand, none of the stocks won't work with the BX-25 mags.

I've had maybe 8 of them, older models. Running SuperX or CCI= no jams.
Bulk promo ammo crap, yeah you can get that often- hate WW Wildcats for that reason.
Only new style 10/22 I've had was a Charger pistol (non alloy trigger housing). I shot CCI in it and brand new to about 300 rounds...........no jams.
Did put a Clark trigger in it, helped but not as good as hoped. I sold it.
Like to find an old DSP, fluted forend stock, to match the .44 mag.
Heck I'd get a reg standard model and swap the stocks if somebody made walnut replicas of the sporter fluted one.

Josh!

Great lookin' M1-10/22 you've got there! Can't wait to get mine! Man! Paintballs at 20 yds! Now THAT's impressive! Which M1 Sight are you using, the Tech 100 or 200, or the Replica M1? Thanks!

Cheers!

I just purchased it. It came with 4x32 Simmons scope. I don't even think I wanna modify this beauty anymore. Black Synthetic. In LOVE.
