Default Ruger 10/22

Going to get myself one for Christmas, do they all come drilled sand tapped for a scope? I'd like a stainless but I also want to keep it closer to $200 than $300, any ideas there would be great too.

Drilled and tapped is standard for $260 or so. Or you can buy one with a top rail in place. Ask Santa for the Williams fiber optic sights, you won't regret it.

Fiber optic sights are the best invention in a long time.

My advice?

Splurge. Get the 10/22 Takedown. You'll thank me later...

I went to a gun show yesterday, they had some takedowns for $379 and a couple 70's wood models in the $450 range. Then I found a synthetic stock basic carbine (NIB) and talked the guy down to $219 and bought it, not what I was looking for but now I can spend more on my kids... Got it home and noticed two of the screws for the scope mount were missing. Trying to decide if I burn 3 gallons of gas to go bug the guy who sold it to me or just call Ruger and see if they'll mail them to me.
