So far, with both locked in a Lead Sled...the Marlins have been whomping on the Rugers out here.

Heck, grab a base model of one of each & test to your heart's content...

Although the Marlin 795 does have the extra benefit of a medium-weight tapered barrel on their base model,
which no doubt helps...along with the Micro-Groove rifling.

I do wish Marlin would re-issue the 7000 series...with the heavy bull barrel. They go head to head with the best
