Default Rimfire Central

Hey guys!

I am afraid I have been bitten by the bug, and bad.

First I reblued an old family rifle, that was in dire need. It turned out pretty good.

Then I bought an old shabby, used stock for my 10/22. I refinished it and it turned out awesome.

In the last 2 weeks, I have ran across 3 old Savage/Stevens/Springfield 6A/87/187 rifles owned by family and friends. I thought so much of it that I went to a pawn shop and bought one as a project rifle. It is ugly, rusty, and only cost me $80. I love it!

I have tons of questions, I have registered with rimfire central a couple of weeks ago, I can log in, but I don't have access to post.

Anyone here a member of that forum?

What do I need to do to be able to post?

Well, here's the deal. You must receive an e-mail from them with a key code to activate your account first.

I had the exact same problem and tried everything to get through to them by requesting a service ticket or getting members to contact the Mod's, but nothing worked. This went on for over a month before someone came up with the solution.

It turns out that my popular e-mail provider was on their "blocked" list for some reason, so no key code e-mail for me. What I did was go to g-mail and sign up for a free e-mail address. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up over there and be up and running. So then I go over to Rimfire Central with a new user name, password, plugged-in the new g-mail address and ba-da-bing just like that I got the activation e-mail at my g-mail and was in just like that.

Give it a try, it worked for me.

Yahoo initially throws the RFC emails in the Spam folder, so you have to watch your trash container initially for 'em...then set it to Not Spam...

OP, will be looking forward to seeing you both here and on Rimfire Central. Both are very good forums.

I love shooting my .22 for accuracy at 100 yards, maybe there are more like me at this rimfire central. I will check it out, thanks!

I am sure that lots of shooters do that. Me I am a 25 yard guy because that is the max at my local range (Field Time here in OC, CA). On the other hand, I doubt I could hit anything much further out than 25 yards.

Love shooting rimfires though. I know what you mean about having it bad.
