I beg to differ Hawg,I would rather load a factory 10/22 magazine than load any of the tube mags of my Marlins or Winchesters.
My old Marlin/Glenfield 60 does shoot good, but It doesn't come anywhere close to the accuracy of my 10/22T.Now my ole Marlin 81 will hang right with it,but the trigger was designed in the stone age,and not much can be done to help it.
The Browning T-Bolt's are some very accurate rimfires, and my Buckmark Sporter rifle ain't to shabby either.

20 minutes with a stone on the sear can get you a nice 3-1/2# trigger on the
Marlin semi-autos and the Marlin bolt actions can benefit from either the Jard
or Rifle Basics triggers

for most people loading a tube magazine Marlin is much easier than any spring
loaded single-stack or rotary detachable/clip magazine, although none of them
are all that difficult to begin with

if your Ruger is truly more accurate and still in its stock configuration, it's an
anomaly and you should consider yourself lucky, most 10/22 owners have
experienced less than stellar accuracy out of the box

Sell the 30/30 and look into a mossberg tactical, save the rest of your money for ammo.

That's a whole lot of .22 ammo!

Turns out selling the 30/30 is harder then i thought. I am in Indiana and you can't hunt anything with this gun so not really a market. Think I will have to take a loss on it or ship it to family in NC and have them enjoy it.

Think I will pull the scope off before I let it go. Maybe put it on my 22, kinda big

Hey!! Is that a Marlin 70/989 I see with the Squirrel Stock and a radiator clamp for a barrel band??
Just buy a 25-round Marlin 795 Shooter's Ridge mag & a Boyd's Evolution stock for it and be done

Seriously, I'd Gunbroker/GunsAmerica the .30-30, one of the auction sites will do ya justice quickly
You'll get more.

Dude, I ain't bashing ya, but you GOT to be kidding me.
I was using old aluminium arrows as speed-loaders & could out-mag-change my box-mag competitors.
Then I went to a Spee-D-Loader...a 1022 or 597 now has ZERO chance of racing me on refills.
Only a Calico w/ 100-rd mags can keep up with a Well-trained man with a Marlin 60 & a Spee-D-Loader

Do an Appleseed after practicing with a Spee-D-Loader for a few days...you'll be faster on the line than anyone else by far.

My 1022T ended up getting traded for a 1981 Yamaha XS400...because my Calico carbine (M-100) could outshoot it.
And all my Marlins can eat the Calico for lunch in the accuracy department.

Hi yes that is a marlin 70 with the squirrel on the stock. But no it doesn't have a radiator clamp. The clamp is but from the pics I saw online it is what they came with.

I will have to looking into the auction sites. I know ebay has huge fees and as long as they aren't bad I can try them.

You can't sell guns on ebay. Try Guns - Online Gun Auction - Guns for Sale at GunBroker.com .
