I had to have Dino at Majestic Arms install his (theirs?)
Speed Strip Kit (SSK) on my Mk 3 for me. I had bent the sear spring out of shape.
I think it’s easier if you’ve a Mk 2 instead of a Mk 3.
Although I did get the hang of taking the Mk 3 apart & back together, ultimately I got tired of having to cajole the bolt retaining pin to slide back up into the bolt, and that’s even before one had the dance with the hammer’s dingleberry, mainspring latch, magazine, or use of the mallet (block of wood really)
With the SSK installed, I can keep the rubber hand grip sleeve on mine all the time now. It also provides a handy place for me to slide the Allen wrench into/under. Having the version that allows the magazine to drop free also very
I’ve had it on the pistol for a while now and it's SO much nicer to just slide the bolt out, clean it, and slide it back without all those other steps. I enjoy field stripping this pistol now. It was worth it. If you have a Mk 3 and not a Mk 2, you might want to consider having Dino do it unless you have three hands to hold all the pieces aligned like he does. Unless you’re going for the magazine drop free choice as well. His turn around was very fast
Here’s a link to a short video of him showing how it works. He doesn’t have one on the installation process yet.
