Default Remington Golden Bullets

I have several .22 cal pistols and rifles. My Ruger Mark I, II, and IIIs typically eat anything I feed them EXCEPT for these Remington Golden JHP Bullets. I built me a new Mark III custom and took it to the range and it wouldn't fire a magazine without FTF issues. So I tried four other magazines with the same issue. I assumed it was the pistol. So I tried my old 1969 Mark I and had the same issue. OK now I'm getting suspicious. I try some Winchester JHP and both guns ran fine with no issues including my new build Mark III. Just for kicks I tried the Remington ammo in my Ruger 10-22 and it wouldn't feed in it either. Winchesters fed fine.

I got a good deal on the ammo or so I thought. Maybe I got what I paid for. Has anyone else had similar issues with this ammo?

I bought a couple of bulk packs a while ago and have almost finished one with no issues at. In years gone buy I always prefered them.
I did have issues with my Kimber target using Winchester ammo but not the golden bullet or even CCI standard velocity.

.22lr firearms can be picky with ammo. Hopefully at least one of yours will like RGB! I've used it for years with fairly good results but prefer the Winchester value pack. RGB balks in my Colt M4 .22lr and I've seen many reports the M&P15-22 hates it too. My Ruger MKI likes it.

These days you have to jump on .22lr when you see it at a good price but it hurts when it won't work!

I quit using the Golden Bullets years ago. The last batch was running 20% failure to fire on the first strike. Some never fired. They would not reliably feed in anything but a single shot or revolver. Even the bolt rifle would not feed them reliably. I could turn some of the bullets in the case and some even wobbled. Worst batch of ammo I have ever seen. Now the better quality Remington like the standard velocity has worked very well and I have never had an issue with their center fire.

I've used them for many years with no issues.

Used them in my Savage 64. Had problems until I got a new magazine. With the dust on them I can see where some guns could be picky.

Thanks for your responses, looks like some good and some bad. I always liked Remington ammo but not this batch. The .22 cal guns I have are all very tolerant and many have had no feeding or firing issues with other ammo including other Remington ammo. This stuff doesn't feed in any of my guns well. When it does feed it has a lot of failure to fires. I can restrike and the still won't fire. I even tried some in a bolt action Mauser style rifle. Fed OK but lots of failure to fires, I estimate 25% would not fire. I have a thousand rounds. It feels like I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go .... LOL

I wonder how to get rid of them.

I noticed the other day that the bulk box of Golden Bullets, the bullets were loose in the case just a bit. Perhaps from over crimping, which could explain chambering problems. It would slightly swell the case.
there is another brand that is loose too. I'm too lazy to get up and go get the box to see which brand it is.

Contact Remington, it won't hurt to try.

I shoot them all the time out of all my 22 pistol's and rifle's. Rarely have any issues, but every once in a while one will FTF. I just eject it,and rock on!
