Default remington apache

Just inherited a remington apache. serial# 413521. the gun has the black stock and chrome finish, it is new in the box, never been fired. in the box is also a tasco scope, which itself is brand new and in its own box. did the scope come with the gun or was it purchased on its own? should i shoot this gun or leave it alone? is it worth anything? thanks

I would not shoot it myself if it really is unfired.

Check in over at the Remington section of and them boys will give you the skinny on them. I do believe they are kind of sought after in the remmy rimfire world.

I found one on Gunbroker with a starting bid of $529. I'm not certain if it's unfired, but it's in like new shape. There's about ten of them there, so go over there and take a look.

Personally, I don't own any safe queens. All my firearms are shooters. It's your decision whether to shoot it or not. Considering it's a family heirloom, in this case I'd make an exception and keep it new and unfired.

There's also a green one there for over $700. I'm having trouble posting a link for some reason. Go to Gunbroker, then firearms, then semi-auto rifles, then enter apache in the search box. You'll come up with around ten rifles.
