Remington 597 Accessories?!

Im picking up a 597 tomorrow (hopefully) if im not too busy, and i was wondering what accessories are out there for it. I dont know which version im getting for sure yet, hopefully one with a scope mounted already.... But there is the camo one that im likeing as well.... Il post pics to let you guys know what im talking about. And to get your opinions on what you thinks a good idea. Also, if anybody has one, let me know how they work.

I dont know for sure if the camo one comes with a scope and is $167 (plus taxes) But i can get the gray with scope for $159 (plus tax) on sale at midwest gun exchange. But thats also kinda far from my house, and would have to rely on someone else to get me there. And the camo one is right down the street from me. What do you guys think is better?

If you have to have the camo, then go for it. If it doesn't have a scope you can buy a cheap one to get by with for around $30.

Otherwise, if you can live without the camo, go get the gray one with the scope. It will save you a little money. I am sure that the scope on it is only a marginal scope anyway.

If it were me, I would buy the one you think you would be more happy with. Don't let the included scope be the deciding factor as it is nothing to write home about. .22 is a blast to shoot a lot and you should get the one you would be most proud of!

I was going to get the camo one yesterday but they were all gone. I haven't look around at too many other shops cause there pretty far from my house (in walking distance i mean.) i guess il just have to keep looking.

I think the real deciding factor should be whether you want the iron sights. You can always add the scope of your choice later, which would be easier - and less expensive - than adding iron sights.

I am a fan of iron sights and from what I have read the ones on the Rem 597 are good.

Yup, they are.
