Remington 572 fieldmaster
I've been looking into getting another 22, that is not a semi auto. I wanted something a little different and looked into the pump action 22LR. I've been looking for reviews on it, and havent had much luck. So. I'm looking to the FTF community to shed a little light.
If this specific model isn't that good and you know a better model 22 pump action, I'm all ears. Thanks.

I have a 572 with a scope on it. It is accurate enough for plinking or shooting small game. It also will shoot 22 shorts. I like it. If you are looking for something other than a semi, you could look at a Marlin model 39 or a Henry. These are lever action guns and the Marlin is the oldest model rifle that is still in production. It used to be called the Cadillac of 22s. The Henry is really, really smooth and you might like it as well.

I'm not really into lever actions. But thanks for the suggestion.

I have an old Remington Fieldmaster 572 with a scope that used to be my dad's. It has been a good gun, it is quite accurate too. I mainly use it to shoot small critters like coons, possums, rabbits, whatever I need to shoot.
I am doing the quite opposite of what you are doing. I am trying to get away from the pump. I have been looking at either bolt action or semi-auto.

No I don't. I live in the Southern Indiana area. Truthfully, I don't plan on selling it because it has a sentimental value. Well for the right price, I guess anything is for sale

My Uncle has one in his closet, I shot it at a wood chuck at 50yrds and I killed it. It has open sits and it shot well. I would like to have one myself. Niffty little gun!

I have a open sights Remington Fieldmaster 572 that I've had since 1983. It's a very accurate and hardy gun. Best 22 I've ever owned.

I've had mine at least 25 years and I really like it. It is the best .22 rifle I've ever had.

There is a 572 at a local lgs here in AZ for $300. No serial number as they were not required when it was built.
