Further investigation shows the stock belongs to a Glenfield Marlin Model 60 22 Rifle. So, it is not the correct stock for the Remington Model 510.
So . . . . where can I find an OEM replacement stock for the Remington Model 510 and where can I find a buyer for the Glenfield stock?

Thanks for replying back!
I would like to see some close up pics of a complete Remington Model 510 rifle. The top, both sides, bottom around the trigger, bolt area of the gun.
Can you offer me some suggestions here? Do you know of anyone on th eforum who owns a Remington Model 610 who would be willing to take some pics and e-mail them to me? drp911@suddenlink.net Thanks again
I have contacted Numrich already as well and are waiting to hear back from them too.

sorry side tracking, but yeah, i'll have pictures up in about an hour, if someone can point me to the posting instructions.

Thanks for sharing the pics! How'd you get the scope mounted? Did you have to drill & tap some holes?
Since I last posted, I have found a replacement "reproduction" stock. Just a little additional inletting to assure a nice snug fit and a stock butt.
Now, very interestingly, the barrel has no rear sight on it and no signs of one ever being there either. Any comments anyone? Now, the rifle was manufactured in June 1947 . . .
Still need a trigger guard and the screw which attaches the stock to the metal barrel/mechanism.

If you want a better barrel Numrich arms sells the remington 513T bull barrel for around $100.
