PPsh 50 / .22lr carbine
I was given a old Squires Bingham (PIATTA of Italy) mfg ppsh50, this one that was pretty rusty(alaskan porch for 10 years) and missing the mag, (it looked like a real ppsh that was dug up from a trench) not a spot of varnish on stock was able to toung oil the walnut stock to a pretty satin look, the finish was horribly pitted with surface corrosion, I used ceramic 1000F black header paint on it
was able to clean it up and get it working, was not able to find a drum mag for less than $100 if you could find one for sale. I ended up buying a stick mag ($38) through the FL based importer.
Was heavy and kinda neat, unfortunately mine had a crummy bore at muzzle and produced coffee can size patterns at 50yds, I should have back bored the muzzle but sold it instead.
A new gun should be a hoot.
