Plinker got a new groove!

I have been jealous of the olive Sig 522's out there.. And since there arent any local and I would be tempted to buy yet another... I decided to try my hand at painting..

I suspended the peices over a fish-tote with wire and sprayed light coats. 2 minutes after spraying, I hit them with 30 seconds a peice with a makita hot air gun, then let them sit 10 minutes. So, 45 minutes of work, 3 coats and 4 hours of additional dry time gave me a gun I dont even recognize... I love it!!

I bought a few CCMG 22 mags and sprayed them to match with OD magpulls as well.

I had sprayed the factory mag black last week and am patiently waiting for the other 4 I ordered 3 weeks ago. Seems mag fitment has been an issue with them and they have to "test fit" the mags before they ship.

I also got my rail kit in last week and decided to keep them black polymer to add contrast too the look. I did the same with the red dot cover, the butt pad and the swing release part of the stock. Overall I think it came out perfect.

Btw, thats a NCstar Mini red dot I got for $50 at a local shop. Its a great lil reflex sight and Im suprised at the quality. Although I wouldnt trust it on anything bigger than a .223.

Great choice of color and I like your decision to leave some parts in black to add contrast, She's a beauty!
