You might want to start with a stock 10/22 and add upgrades as you can afford them. That's if you're looking to target shoot.

If you're looking to pop squirrels, you won't have to do much to it except add a scope. That'll get you started.

You should be able to buy a new 10/22 for around $200. or maybe a bit less. Shoot it stock for a while. Then you can make changes as you want at a rate that's affordable. The idea is to have some fun.

When up-grading a 10/22, your top priority needs to be a trigger replacement. After that... it's all look-pretty stuff.

So an aftermarket barrel upgrade does nothing to improve a 10/22?

appreceated, and anything is pretty much affordable to me:P i make like 15 bucks an hour and i still live at home with my parents lol, im single so no girl to sink money into, my car is pad off so no payment, its just me with a **** ton money to make myself smile
