i would paint the trigger guard. just because when you buy a weapon that has been camoed the trigger guard is too. would also be a lot harder to tell that you painted it yourself.

looks great though..

how long did the prep take?

if you took attention to all the details like you said and it looks like you did. the finish shouldnt be a problem at all. spray paint is really pretty tough and with proper prep will last a long time. spray paint is very correct for metal. dont use any topcoats at all it could cause peeling if it is the wrong one. would just be easier to touch problem areas as time goes on. spray paint takes 3 days to fully cure. keep that in mind as well. i have worked for a large paint company for 5 years that is how i know so much..

It doesn't look like that anymore. I sold the stock and scope and stripped the metal down. Then I sprayed the metal with matte black Aluma Hyde II, mounted it in a standard wood stock and threw a cheap Barska 3-9x40 scope on it. It's boring looking now, but very low profile.

I was looking at the old post's of how your 10-22 morphed,..twice.
Here's what I did with mine. The fun thing is, we can keep changing it, but there's always the option of restoring to original. That's why the wood stock is in the gun closet. Not through yet, bi-pod arrives Tuesday.

Awesome looking gun. I am totally digging the camo. Nice work, and i wouldn't paint the scope rings or screws either, doesn't need it.

10/22's are like Lego's for the big boys.
