DefaultOnline gun shoping

I was looking for lever action gun and the only place I can find is online. I found it on gunsamerica.com. I am a little sketchy on it. Has anyone shoped there before? Also I was woundering what are some good websites to shop on?

personally i didn't have any good luck with the people who listed themselves as "gun dealers". most had some really decent prices on what they advertised for sale, and when inquiring about buying they said they were out of stock or just wouldn't answer an email or sometimes got a wrong number. i am sure there are some reputable dealers on there, but the ones i tried to get a hold of where probably home based FFL dealers. i have heard much better things about GunBroker.Com and have a friend who has used them a few times in the past with much better results. just relaying my past experiance and my opinion is not all inclusive and i hope others have had better luck than i did.

Gallery of Guns.com is a good site. You don't necessarily buy the gun from the site, but it helps you find the dealer closest to you from which to purchase the gun. Go to www.galleryofguns.com - Buy guns online, top brands, best price, best service, best warranty; all types of guns: revolvers, rifles, pistols and shotguns. and click on the Gun Genie logo.

I use both gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com. Both are auction sites- you are not buying from the site, but sellers that register on the site.

With both, you can look at the feedback sellers have had from other customers- if a seller has 100 positives, 1 negative, odds are pretty good that I would be happy with the sale. auctionarms has a mandatory 3 day, no firing, right of return on any gun.

With any auction site, remember you will ALSO pay shipping, and pay the fee to the local dealer you have it shipped TO.

Buds has free shipping, but you do have to pay the person It's shipped to.

I actually use auction sites to find guns near me.
Gunbroker has a state by state listing...so you can see what's available near you.
And quite often, when you are in person and have Cash, you can haggle a better price for the gun you want.
Most gun dealers would rather do an on-site sale than an online one...less hassle & saves them time & effort.

I also scour the local papers, the Shopper, the Thrifty Nickel...stuff like that.
I've found some AWESOME deals out there!!

I have a list of every gun I want/need...and several decades worth of Gun Trader Guides (different guns each year) that go everywhere with me.
Check prices with your laptop if ya don't already know 'em by heart so you don't get the shaft.

If you want great deals, you have to do the research...
it also helps to have a background in sales, makes hagglin a LOT easier when you can read the person
