Next .22LR Purchase

Need some help deciding on purchasing new .22lr rifle. At the present time I have the MP15-22 with over 12000 rounds. I work at a local sporting goods store and as of today this is what I have to choose from; Ruger 210 $250, Henry $320, Remington 597 w/scope $220, Moss 702 $160, Marlin 795 $160, Savage Mark II GXP w/scope $200 and lastly 10-22 $280 and w/scope $350. All comments are welcomed, which one would you purchase, Thanks!!
P.S. Yes I do have plenty of .22lr ammo!

I'm ip over 10,000 rounds in my sig522 and the only thing I don't like about it is I don't have a second one to shoot when I go out shooting.

I'd say the savage or henry since you already have a semi-auto I have to recommend a manual action gun.

I love my Henry. Its accurate as hell and I can and do shoot 22lr, long, and short in it. On top of that its not bad to look at and easy to take apart and clean. I have 6 22's and like to shoot them all. Whatever you get you will probably enjoy.

Thank you, I do like the Henry would you go with the Golden boy? If I decided to go bolt action what other guns would anyone recommend, this is why I enjoy this blog good honest replies thank you! Here is a pic of my MP15-22 with over 12000 rounds just added the Nikon prostaff rimfire scope, great scope.

I vote either the Henry or 10-22. I'd lean towards the Henry if it were me (if we're talking the lever gun).

If you decide on a Henry I would get the golden boy. I have a Henry .17hmr and am very disappointed with the fit and finish of the whole rifle, it looks and feels very cheap, like a step above red Ryder cheap. The reason I ended up with it is because the only model Henry my LGS had in stock was the golden boy and I was pleased with how it looked and felt, but didn't want to pay that much and wanted to scope it. So that led me to order the varmint edition that comes with the cantilever scope mount but was the standard receiver and stock. When I went to pick it up from the FFL, I was very disappointed right off the bat. I will say this it does shoot well and I haven't had any problems, but I still can't get over the cheap feeling and will likely sell it down the road.

Just my opinions on it, but if I were you I would find a place to handle the exact model you are looking at in the Henry before you pull the trigger.

Thanks for the information, I think the Savage is the one, big sale next week perfect timing, might be getting a home defense shotgun too. Will send pics.

I don't understand why you think the M&P is worn out. I have a marlin 60 that has fired over 100,000 rounds without any troubles at all. I have owned the gun for close to 30 years. I really have no idea how many rounds it has fired. A well made 22LR is difficult to wear out.

The prices you are quoting for the new guns is quite expensive. I can get a stainless 10/22 at walmart for under $250. Walmart is not the least expensive place to get a gun.
