DefaultNew Ruger SR .22 Pistol

Interesting new pistol for Ruger. They sure have been kicking out new .22's like candy. The Sp101, LCR, Single 10.....humm....wonder if .22's are in demand. May have to add one to my collection....I am a big fan of .22's.

Looks interesting. Surprising from Ruger, considering the continued success of their previous 22 line. But I'll be sticking with my Browning Buckmark. So far no one has equalled it in reliability, accuracy, etc, etc

I don't look at it as a replacement for any .22s I might have, but rather an addition.

it looks a lot like the walter p22. i would hope it wouldnt be as picky as the p22 and as reliable as the mk series .22

Happy to say that I am a proud owner of one and have run about 300 rounds through it with only one failure to feed. I had gone down last Friday to the LGS to put one on order when the salesman said they had just gotten one in stock that morning. I used cci mini mag, bulk federal, American eagle, winchester and something out of the bottom of a friends ammo box that was pretty manky, all with only that one issue. I had a chance to compare directly with p22. It has a slightly longer receiver and with the larger mag bottoms it fits my large hands just fine and my wife's polar opposite hands equally as well. If my wife would let me shoot it more I would probably put on the larger grip sleeve but it is fine the way it is. A fellow shooter who had the well used P22 was impressed with the accuracy and feel and now has one on order.

The Ruger SR22 pistol is getting real hard to get. Ruger has sold out and not taking any more orders until May as they work off the backlog of orders. I lucked out and found one on Aution Arms offered by Olde English Outfitters. It should be delivered to my FFL transfer agent on Thursday.
