If you are having trouble field stripping your Ruger Mark III pistol , go to you tub e and look for a video by Johnny Buzzkill. It is the best video on the Ruger Mark III , this guy really makes it easy. Hope this helps.

Here is a pdf file for the Ruger Manual for the Mark III. You can download to your computer if you want to save it for reference.

Default More help

Never did a MKIII but with my MKII's and MKI, it is absolutely essential to stick your left little finger in your right ear as you smack it wit a plastic hammer or it won't go back together.

The main spring pin is stubborn to work back into the proper position. This is only the second time the gun has been torn down though. It helps to work the pin a few times through the back of the gun because it is a tight fit. Not too user friendly, but very accurate.
