Check HERE for Buttplate: Buttplate

Can it be scoped? Sure. If it has two grooves 3/8ths of an inch apart on the frame above the bolt, that is an easy mount. Without that, would need to drilled and tapped by a gunsmith.

Willful- my bad. I DO have a vintage 1943 Mossberg that does (made for US military) and a couple of Marlin 39s that do.

However, my beady eye had already decided this was a JC Higgins rifle, which did not have one-
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!
