Stevens favorite is a great gun, nice and simple and takes the subsonic rounds without any problems. I hunted all sorts of small game with it but I love coyote hunting with it. Sadly I left it with my father when I went off in the navy, didn't want to trust that one with the cheap bimart safe I have.

CZ 452, restocked in a Boyd's thumbhole stock, I "had" to refinish the stock, it had about one coat of urethane on it and no color! It now has 20 coats of Tru-oil on it. This is what it looks like

,

I just use it to kill targets, but with the way I have it set up it shoots sub MOA quite easily, as long as I do my part. I think I'll keep er! Doug

BTW: Since I do jeweling,I also "had" to do the bolt! DA

,

Just a good way to add a little income to the pot! lol!

Ruger 10/22 With a Butler creek bull barrel and laminated thumbhole stock, tasco 3x9 and match trigger. I love head shooting tree rats "squirrels" as the rest of the country calls them.

Nice rimfires guys! My problem is I can't pick one that easily

If I may list the top 3?

1. 1934 Winchester model 67. Rabbits, paper, and tin cans.
2. Ruger 10\22. General plinking and ammo wasting.
3. Charter Arms AR-7. Truck rimfire and camp gun. Small game and plinking.

All are acurate foe what they are, but the 67 is the most precise.

The Marlin 39 series hands down. They also teach a certain "heritage" to our sons and daughters... Henry makes a great line of 22LR as well if you want to go new.

Well..

My favorite lever action 22 cal rifle is the 1975 Marlin 39A w/Williams peep sight. Awesomely accurate. (top rifle in photo below)

My 2nd favorite lever action 22 cal rifle is the 1970 Marlin 39 "Century Limited" # 3 in the photo below. (The one with the all steel Redfield peep sight).

My favorite autoloader 22cal rifle is my Winchester 63 (Miroko) at the bottom of the photo w/scope.

All of my rimfire rifles are more than accurate enough for casual target plinking and shooting feral coke cans.

Jesse

Shooter's Ridge, I got a bunch of 'em on clearance when Walmart was getting rid of 'em for half-price...
Walmart rebranded them under the Winchester name & is selling 'em for $39.98
Still worth it, but I'm a cheapskate that pinches pennies until they scream for mercy

My faves are:

Kart slide on Nygord Colt lower (used to squirrel hunt with it when in college).
Colt Match Target Woodsman 6"
High Standard Sharpshooter 5 1/2"
and my old junk 10.5" AMT Lightning (copy of Ruger MK2).

That Lightning was the best shooting pistol I ever had. Dime sized groups, iron sights off a bag, at 25 yards..............running Winchester Hyper Velocity "Supermax" (used to buy them at Ayr Way). I smoked a lot of chucks and squirrels with that thing, scary accurate.

But.............it was wonderfully AMT, and with Hyper V stuff cracked the mainspring housing. No biggie, just looked like a machined line where the bolt stop pin swung. It'd open a little and not work. Pull the housing, hammer it closed and it'd work for another 50-100 rounds.

Where they milled the flats on the side of the receiver you could see a ripple, from where the barrel threads were. Sloppy work, but man it shot sooooooooooooo good.

When it went bang.

Had it flub on a couple of chucks one day (due to cracked MS housing issue rearing it's ugly head at the most inopportune of times) so I got really PO'd and traded it.
